Solarium Performs at Trifecta Dance Festival
Solarium Dance Company will perform an excerpt from their recent project “Thumbs Up.” as part of the 2024 Trifecta Dance Festival. Featuring dancing from Bridget Donovan, Kennedy Hayes, Sam Kedziora, Andi Learman, Sarah O'Keeffe, and Anna Wetoska.
"Thumbs Up." dances through the life and discography of Mac Miller. This excerpt is a small look into the evening-length work that premiered in February 2024. A story about life, love, addiction, and death- along with all of the little moments in between that is able to connect with our audiences.

Thumbs Up.
The work is a commentary on living a life well lived, mental health, and the ethics and morality of releasing art after someone has passed. Dancing through the life and discography of Mac Miller, Solarium shares an accessible, relatable story of chasing one’s dreams, battling with depression and addiction, and ultimately passing due to an accidental overdose.
The audience will journey through 1 hour, 17 minutes, and 33 seconds of Mac Miller's life, music, and memory through fresh choreography from Tori Cartee and remarkable dancing from Bridget Donovan, Kennedy Hayes, Sam Kedziora, Andi Learman, Sarah O'Keeffe, and Anna Wetoska.
NOTE: The Sunday performance is an edited version of Mac's tracks but the work may contain explicit language along with themes of drugs, alcohol, violence, depression, suicide, and other topics that may be triggering for some audience members.
